Thank you all!

I just wanted to pop in and thank you all for your kind words, thoughts and prayers! You can't imagine how much it means! Book bloggers are the best!

Mom had her second round of chemo yesterday. So far, so good. Her hair has begun to fall out this week which was hard for her. She is trying to decide what she wants to wear, a wig or a hat.

I have been slowly reading The Sugar Queen by Sarah Addison Allen. It is my first read from this author but will not be my last. Not sure what took me so long to get to her books.

I have peeked at everyone's blogs and as a result have pre-ordered some really good books for the spring. Now if spring would just hurry and get here! Old Man Winter just does not want to leave here!

Thank you again for your kind words!

  1. I'm glad things are going pretty well for your mom. My mother-in-law has opted for a wig - there are some pretty good options out there these days. Thanks for the update!

    1. I am still trying to convince my mom to get a wig and give it a try. She is so upset about her hair. I think she might be happier with a wig. Good to know your mother-in-law opted for a wig. I will keep trying to persuade my mom in the same direction. Sorry your mother-in-law is going through a similar thing. I will keep you and your family in my prayers, Kathy!

    1. Cancer is a beast, Laura! Support is very important. Ironically, I work in a cancer hospital and now I see how it is to be on the other side of the coin. Thank you for your hugs!

  6. My mom went through chemo too, and she opted for a wig. She found one that looked almost identical to her natural hair and many people never knew is was a wig.

Will keep your mom, you, and the rest of the family in my prayers.

  7. Beth, I'm sorry I'm just popping in. My dad was in the hospital again and I'm just getting around to catching up. I have been keeping your mom in my prayers and am glad she's doing better. My cousin is going through treatment right now and she's found that she likes hats the best. There are at least a lot of options out there. Continued prayers for your mom and family.
